We are thrilled to announce the details of our Sunday 28th June 2026 Mid Year Showcase!

This informal and exciting event is a wonderful opportunity for parents, grandparents, and friends to see what your children have been working on throughout the first half of the year.

Our Mid Year Showcase is always a highlight and promises a fun, supportive performance experience for all involved.
All students will be participating.

🩰 UNIFORM FOR SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS:

All school-aged students are required to wear full Sydney Performing Arts Academy uniform to perform in, along with the correct footwear.

Dancers should arrive wearing the shoes for their first performance, with any additional shoes packed and ready.

🎒 Multiple Classes & Shoe Changes

If your child is in a SuperStar Combo class or multiple genres of dance, please bring their additional dance shoes in a labelled zip lock bag.

All additional shoes must be clearly labelled and easy for your dancer to identify.

Upon arrival, students will place their labelled shoes in their class’s designated box in the foyer for the showcase.

🧸 Toddler & Preschool Attire

Toddler and Preschool dancers should wear what they usually wear to class.

They are also welcome to wear a tutu from home previous productions or anything they feel special and confident in.

🛍️ Uniform Orders

Please do not leave uniform purchases until the last minute, as some items may need to be ordered and stock is limited.

Hair:
Hair is to be styled in a high donut bun.
Students with shorter hair should have their hair neatly pulled back and secured.

Makeup:
There is no requirement for makeup for this performance.
However, glitter in your child’s hair or on their face is welcome.

✨ Grooming

Please ensure all uniforms and dance shoes are clean and presentable for the showcase.

Please check the Show Orders by clicking the button at the top of this page to see which show/s your child will be performing in.

If you are unsure of your dancer’s class names, these can be viewed on your Parent Portal or on your Enrolment Confirmation.

Please note: These are not final running orders. Final running orders will be confirmed closer to the showcase.

If your child is unable to attend the Mid Year Showcase, please let us know as soon as possible so teachers can be notified.

Arrival & Check-In

Please ensure your dancer arrives at their allocated arrival time listed above.

Toddler & Preschool

Dancers enter the auditorium with their parents

Students remain seated with their families until called on stage by their teacher

School Age Students

Dancers meet SPAA staff in the foyer at their arrival time

Staff will sign dancers in and escort them to their dressing room and class group

Upon arrival, dancers place their labelled water bottle and labelled shoes (in a zip lock bag) in their class box in the Foyer.

During the Showcase

Toddler & Preschool

Dancers stay seated with their families when not performing

School Age Students

Dancers will remain in their dressing room for the duration of the showcase

Students will be supervised by their teacher and SPAA staff at all times

Dismissal

All dancers will return to the stage for a finale.
Students will be dismissed from the stage at the conclusion of the showcase.

For school-age students, water bottles and change of shoes will be returned to the foyer in their class box (clearly labelled with class names).

If you aren't already, please make sure you are on Band App. Teachers will be posting class updates and videos of routines along with the music for your dancer to practice in the lead up to Mid-Year.

WHAT IS BAND APP:

Band is a communication app that enables easy communication with our SPAA community, administrators and teachers. At Sydney Performing Arts Academy we use BAND APP so you can receive Academy updates, SPECIFIC class information, ask questions and see videos from your child’s classes.

We will regularly post relevant and important class updates as well as showing you what your kids are up to in class. You can also access class music and choreography, allowing your child to easily practise their routines at home.

INTIAL SET UP:

Dowload BAND to your device or access through web browserSign up to BAND by using your mobile number, Facebook, Email or GoogleOnce logged in you need to add your dancer's classes 'BAND's' to your account.

To find your child's BAND please CLICK HERE where you will see all 2025 classes.

Tickets go on sale Monday 1st June 2026 and can be purchased by our ONLINE STORE or by clicking the button at the top of this page.

TICKETING INFORMATION

One Ticket give you unlimited access to all our Showcases:

Adults: $20

Student/ Concession:$15

• Children who are not yet at school do not require a ticket if they will not be occupying a seat and will sit on a parents lap.

• Dancers do not need to purchase a ticket to their show or to watch siblings.

Note: Tickets are general admission, there is no allocated seating or limits on number of tickets you can purchase.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS PROOF OF TICKET PURCHASE. ON THE DAY OF SHOWCASE YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW YOUR RECEIPT TO STAFF AT THE DOORWAY FOR PROOF OF TICKET PURCHASE TO ENTER THE VENUE.
