We are thrilled to announce the details of our very FIRST Family Fun Day Mid Year Showcase!

Mid Year Showcase:

This informal and exciting event is a wonderful opportunity for parents, grandparents, and friends to see what your children have been working on in class throughout the first half of the year. Our Family Fun Day Mid Year Showcase is set to be a huge highlight of the year and promises so much fun for everyone involved. All students will be participating!

Family Fun:

Alongside the performances, all students and attendees can enjoy face painting, jumping castles, balloons, and musicβ€”before and after the showcase!

The day will be divided into three performance blocks based on age groups. Your child will perform in their allocated age group showcase and is welcome to join in our FREE Family Fun activities before and after their performance time.

Showcase Categories:

🎭 Showcase 1 Arrival 1:55pm for a 2:15pm Show: Toddlers & Pre-School Arrival

🎭 Showcase 2 Arrival 3:15pm for a 3:45pm Show: Kindergarten – Year 1 & Year 2 – Year 3

🎭 Showcase 3 Arrival 5:10pm for a 5:30pm Show: Year 4 – Year 5 & Year 6+

🎭 Family Fun: 2:30pm - 5:00pm

Uniform, Hair and Make Up

UNIFORM FOR SCHOOL AGE STUDENTS:

All SCHOOL AGED students are required to wear full Sydney Performing Arts Academy uniform to perform in as well as the correct footwear.

MULTIPLE CLASSES & SHOE CHANGES:

If your child is in a SuperStar Combo class or multiple genres of dance, please bring their additional dance shoes in a LABELED ZIP LOCK BAG. Your dancer should arrive wearing the shoes they will perform in first. Upon arrival students will place their labled shoes in their classes designated box for the showcase.

UNIFORM FOR TODDLER & PRESCHOOL AGE STUDENTS:

Our Toddler and PreSchool age students can wear a tutu or what they wear to class.

Please note: The venue can get quite cold inside. Dancers may wish to wear something warm over their uniform that they can take off quickly and easily like a jacket etc.

Uniform Orders:

Make sure you don't leave any uniform purchases until the last minute as we need to order uniform in and have limited stock.

HAIR:

Hair is meant to be pulled back into a High Donut Bun. Student's with short hair can neatly pull their hair back.

MAKEUP:

There is no need for makeup as there are no stage lights, however glitter in your child's hair and on their face is most welcomed

GROOMING:

Please also make sure shoes and uniforms are clean and looking presentable.

Show Orders and Arrival Times

Please check the Show Orders by clicking the button at the top of this page to see what show/s your child will be performing in.

If you are unsure of your dancers class names these can be viewed on the Parent Portal or on your Enrolment Confirmation.

NOTE: these are not a final running order, Final running orders will be confirmed closer to the concert.

***If your child is unable to attend the concert – please let us know ASAP so teachers can be notified.***

⏰ ARRIVAL TIMES ⏰

Dancers are required to arrive 20 minutes before their showcaes. Please take your child to the front of the stage where a SPAA Staff member will be waiting to sign your child in and show them their designated class line to sit on.

Dancers will watch the performance when they are not performing on the stage and will be supervised by their teacher and SPAA staff for the duration of the showcase.

Band App

If you aren't already, please make sure you are on Band App. Teachers will be posting class updates and videos of routines along with the music for your dancer to practice in the lead up to Mid-Year.

WHAT IS BAND APP:

Band is a communication app that enables easy communication with our SPAA community, administrators and teachers. At Sydney Performing Arts Academy we use BAND APP so you can receive Academy updates, SPECIFIC class information, ask questions and see videos from your child’s classes.

We will regularly post relevant and important class updates as well as showing you what your kids are up to in class. You can also access class music and choreography, allowing your child to easily practise their routines at home.

INTIAL SET UP:

Dowload BAND to your device or access through web browserSign up to BAND by using your mobile number, Facebook, Email or GoogleOnce logged in you need to add your dancer's classes 'BAND's' to your account.

To find your child's BAND please CLICK HERE where you will see all 2025 classes.

Click the relevant link to your enroled class.Once you have completed the initial Set Up, please click the links to request membership for: SPAA FAMILIES and SPAA POLICIES AND JACK RABBIT LINK

Tickets

Tickets go on sale Thursday 23rd October and can be purchased by our ONLINE STORE or by clicking the button at the top of this page.

TICKETING INFORMATION

One Ticket give you unlimited access to all our Showcases:

Adults: $20

Student/ Concession:$15

  • Children who are not yet at school do not require a ticket if they will not be occupying a seat and will sit on a parents lap.

  • Dancers do not need to purchase a ticket to their show or to watch siblings.

Note: Tickets are general admission, there is no allocated seating or limits on number of tickets you can purchase.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS PROOF OF TICKET PURCHASE. ON THE DAY OF SHOWCASE YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW YOUR RECEIPT TO STAFF AT THE DOORWAY FOR PROOF OF TICKET PURCHASE TO ENTER THE VENUE.
